Producing behavioural change videos with Intel

Producing behavioural change videos with Intel

As an ethnographic researcher with Intel, Ireland, I worked on a collaborative project between Intel and Trinity College School of Nursing to address behavioural self-management in patients with chronic illnesses, in particular chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Our aim was to produce a series of short videos of individuals with chronic illnesses in order to influence behavioural change by using motivating techniques, improve education and provide support to better equip individuals to manage their condition.

As the principal researcher on this project, I set up this research and conducted ethnographic research with COPD support groups and held in-depth 1:1 interviews with research participants. These interviews formed the basis for the subsequent behavioural change videos.
